Stephanie Down is a logistics operator at Rapid Racking and is currently the only female employee in the warehouse, among a thirty strong team of men. On this International Women’s Day, she tells us what life is like in the UK subsidiary, which specializes in shelving and storage solutions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I recently joined the company as a logistics operator. After a few weeks as a temp, I had the opportunity to sign a permanent contract in September.<\/em>“<\/p>\n\n\n\n “I try to be as versatile as possible: I prepare orders, drive forklift trucks, stock the products\u2026 It\u2019s a demanding job and I really put my all into it, but I know I can always count on my colleagues if I need help with carrying heavy loads for example.<\/em>“<\/p>\n\n\n\n “As I learn more and more about the world of logistics, I realize that women can perform these everyday tasks just as much as men can.
