A Baptist Church in Wales has a received a “generous” donation from Rapid Racking. 

In mid-April Rapid 3 bays were donated to Tabernacle Baptist Church, Caerphilly, Wales, in a bid to help organise and store charitable items received from local communities in aid of Ukrainian refugees. 

After acquiring a large storage space, the church’s minister said they continued to procure an “amazing” amount of donations but lacked the shelving to house all the charitable goods.

Having previously bought shelves from Rapid Racking, Rev Peter Cho contacted our sales team to ask if we could help by donating stock that could meet their needs. 

Reaching out to Rapid Racking, Rev Peter Cho said: “Since the invasion of Russia on Ukraine, we have heard the sad news that millions of the Ukrainian people have fled from Ukraine and have become war refugees

“We have tried to help the Ukrainian people in the refugee camps in Poland, sending thousands of boxes of donations which people in our areas have so generously have donated. 

“At the same time, as the UK has received over 12,000 Ukraine refugees so far, we begin to see Ukraine refugees in our area so we are trying to help them. 

 “We have bought some of your products in the past and recent times and your company shelves’ quality have been excellent. 

“In this time, we need a lot of new shelves for the new storage space, we would like to ask Rapid Racking whether you can kindly donate.” 

In response to this request, Tom Ellis, our Head of Product and Services, acquired 21 Rapid 3 Pro Bays to be donated and delivered to the church’s storage base in Newridge, Wales.  

Rev Peter Cho said he was “moved” by the donation: “We really would like to thank you [Tom] and your company for the wonderful donations which will be used preciously to help the Ukrainian people.”
